The problem
Every new driver meant a paper contract: print it, sign it, then scan it, file it and cart the originals to a paper archive. Around 50 hires a month, 20 minutes of signing per person, roughly 5,000 printed pages a month, and about 15 minutes of scanning-and-filing per contract — nearly 3 hours a month of pure archiving.
On top of that, recruitment and HR traded contract details ad hoc, so nobody was ever sure what had actually been signed.
What I built
A web app that runs the whole flow. The recruiter picks the contract type and language, the driver fills in a guided form with their details and signs with a stylus on a tablet — through SignaturiX, an e-signature provider that guarantees the signature is legally binding.
The moment it's signed, the PDF archives itself to SharePoint and confirmation emails go out to HR and the driver — no scanning, no filing, no paper. The recruitment–HR handoff became a single automatic notification.
I owned it end to end — process design, build, rollout, metrics — six months start to finish. The process has since scaled to around 100 contracts a month.
